HOTEL MANAGER/EAST LONDON – An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate, organized, goal-oriented and experienced Hotel Manager to oversee the running of the Hotel.  Only applicants with a Formal Hospitality-related Qualification, valid driver's license and own transport will be considered.

Minimum Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a Managerial role within 4/5 Star Hotels

A Formal Hospitality-related Qualification is Essential

Fluent in English and well-spoken

Highly efficient with MS Office (Word, Excel and Email), and Online Booking Platforms (Expedia, Semper)

Valid South African Driver’s License and 

Own Transport

Experience in Laundry and Housekeeping Management

Excellent Staff Management Skills

Tasks (include but are not limited to):

Ensure that the Reception Area is run smoothly and professionally

Ensure that all front of house areas are clean and tidy at all times

Maintaining a high profile with staff and guests

Ensure that Hotel Rooms are serviced and maintained to set standards

Ensure reservations are taken correctly and professionally and graciously

Ensure that guests are greeted, checked in and allocated to their rooms promptly and graciously

Ensure that guest accounts and statuses are kept up to date

Ensure an effective and efficient check out process

Ensure that the laundry, housekeeping and back of house is always kept clean

Ensure that Housekeeping is operating efficiently on a daily basis

Daily spot checks of Hotel Rooms to ensure that standards are exceeded

Regular stock takes for amenities, linen and other items for Housekeeping and Hotel

Ensure regular on-the-job training is taking place in your department

Ensure that staff dress code is up to standard

Ensure effective liaison between Reservations, Front Office and other Departments.

Act as a Duty Manager when required
