Job Title: Credit Supervisor – CEC
Location: Sandton, Gauteng, South Africa

Job Summary:
Oversee a team of credit controllers and collections specialists to ensure output is aligned to business requirements. Serve as an escalation point for issues and a conduit between the credit and collections team and the rest of the CEC business. Identify changes or improvements to processes and business rules to improve business performance against KPIs.

Requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Credit and Collections Operations:
Management of the organization’s credits and accounts receivable.
Measurement and analysis of department performances and credit administrations.
Optimization of credit management processes.
Maintenance of relationship with collection agencies, insurance companies, sales department etc.
Administration of customer credit files.
Investigate aged debt.
Liaise with debtors and with account managers to clarify underlying issues, and recommend appropriate management actions to resolve these and maximize cash collections.
Ensure execution of work as required by the credit and collections team.
Assess and research the client’s creditworthiness.
Educate and give guidance to the credit and collections team.
Predict risks by creating credit scoring models.
Oversee processing of credits in line with company policy.
Monitor periodic credit reviews.
Monitor deductions being taken by customers.
Manage the application of late fees.
Monitor the credit granting and updating process.

Governance and Compliance:
Identify, draft, develop and implement operational processes, policies and guidelines in line with relevant regulations as set out by regulatory bodies.
Oversee implementation of governance frameworks and policies into systems.
Identify shortcomings in compliance processes, systems and procedures, and develop ad hoc solutions to problems.
Ensure adherence to applicable legislation i.e., NCA etc.

Insights and Reporting:
Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports related to credit and collections.
Monthly reporting on financial performance to Senior Management.

Leadership:
Providing vision and direction to the team members.
Through effective inspirational leadership, facilitate the creation of accountable, full service teams who understand and strive to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
Role model behavior and motivate team members in line with the core values.
Take full responsibility for performance of all direct reports, motivating and managing them in relation to quality standards and agreed benchmarks and objectives, focusing on all aspects of sound people management.

EDUCATION:

General Education
Matric.
Relevant graduate qualification.

EXPERIENCE:

Extensive knowledge of CRM and Billing systems.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office with emphasis on excel and outlook.
Strong Billing system experience.
Strong Collections knowledge and experience.
Telecommunications industry background experience preferred.

Experience in managing teams.
Experience having managed stakeholder relationships with Vendors.
