SS Inland requires a Snr Procurement Manager. The position requires to manage and lead the procurement process and ensure that proper purchasing procedures are followed and that the Company gets the right material and cost-effective buying to meet operational needs. Develop a Purchasing Strategy for the Division. Implement Purchasing Procedures. The successful incumbent must be team driven, with meeting timescales. Make informative decisions and producing output. Must be able to adopt practical approaches while upholding standards.

Job Summary:
To manage and lead the procurement process and ensure that proper purchasing procedures are followed and that the Company gets the right material and cost-effective buying to meet operational needs;

Develop, lead and execute the purchasing strategy for the Division, in line with the Company goals;
Timeously notify senior management of any conditions or special trends that may influence supply or price;

Safeguard the Purchasing Procedure:

Implement and maintain the agreed divisional purchasing procedure;

Ensure that the purchasing procedure is followed at all times;

Manage the performance of the Procurement/Buying Department;

Constantly monitor the performance of the Procurement Department to ensure that procedures are followed, targets are met and optimize productivity;

Purchasing Database, maintain an accurate database of products and materials required;

Lead the procurement department in ensuring that it maintains updated data such as information about suppliers’ products and prices;

Maintaining and reviewing all records of purchased goods, including their costs, deliveries and inventories;

Establish and supervise maintenance of files, data and VMS supplier database and our Stakeholders, internal & external customers and suppliers;
Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients both internally and externally;

Networking effectively to the benefit of the Company;

Maintaining and managing key account relationships.

Requirements:
Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration;

7 years related experience in a Construction Environment in a similar;

Management and Leadership experience;

Government Regulation BBBEE ACT;

Good understanding of operational requirements;

Construction Product Knowledge;

Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act;

Microsoft Computer Skills.
