Salary: R 371,560.50 – 482,294.25 Annually
Planning and prioritize the activities on a daily basis; Provide input regarding the compilation of the sections budget and make recommendations in respect of budget control; planning with consultants and developers for new developments; Ensure the maintenance of LV electricity network complies with electricity legislation according to the Act; execute duties according to the NRS 047/048; electricity Act; Council By-laws; OHS Act; NER; DME Electrication; CMIP Funding; Safety records and the SABS specifications; Manage the HV, MV & LV Operations and Maintenance and new works section to ensure the effective, efficient and economical performance of the section; execute project management duties of all project meetings; Monitor projects regarding IDP requirements and prepare the necessary updates for submission for enclosure to plan; Prepare estimated costs for projects; update LV reticulation networks drawings and schematics; Prepare and compile monthly section performance reports as required by the Senior Manager Electrical services; Compile and Draft tender documentation and contracts as required by the Senior Manager Electrical services.
National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Degree in Electrical Engineering and a recognized Trade Test. Valid OHRVS. Code B drivers license. supervisory skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Computer literate MS Office. Be able to work independently. Proficiency in two of the three regional languages (Afr/Xhosa); Good people skills, writing and calculating skills; Reporting skills.
5 years relevant experience in the operations maintenance and commissioning of low electrical distribution and reticulation equipment.
