The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and growing key accounts in local regions, business development in specified territories and above all, exceptional personal relationships, commercial & market leadership.
Essential Job Functions :
Grow contribution margin and sales at existing customers and new customers as well as developing the opportunity pipeline and closing new opportunities.
Nurture existing and grow new customer and user relationships.
Develop and implement action plans and goals with and for each customer and region.
Coordinate key account growth plans, manage the opportunities, forecast future business, and maintain sales contracts.
Proactively identify gaps with customer plans and develop corrective action plans to deliver on commitments.
Identify the opportunities for the company product range with customers and offer products to fill those gaps.
Be fully abreast of global and regional data with an impact on Customers and market knowledge.
Continuously review competitor activities and market trends/changes to ensure the company aligns their products to customer needs, while ensuring existing customer needs are maintained in line or better than what the competition is offering in the market.
Education, Experience, Key Knowledge and Skills :
B Com qualification or similar including subjects and experience with marketing, economics and or finance
Minimum of 8 years professional sales or customer interfacing roles in industrial product market.
Expertise in business software and ERP systems
A strategic thinker, with a strong technical sales of products and applications background, demonstrating a strength in negotiation are key to this exciting opportunity. A prerequisite to be able to travel outside of SA for extensive periods (when the world is back to normal!) is non negotiable.
