My client, located in Blackheath, is seeking to employ a Warehouse Controller – Receiving, to join their team.
The Warehouse Controller- Receiving – manages incoming deliveries. Verifying the items in the shipments, unload, load and store the items, track any damages and process returns. The Warehouse Controller­ Receiving – is also tasked with keeping businesses and supply chains on schedule by managing recordkeeping, and inventory control.

Responsibilities include verifying delivered items, unloading trucks, ensuring items are stored correctly, and processing returns.


Comparing company purchase orders with invoices and packing lists and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list.


Inspecting deliveries to ensure they match order and invoice criteria.


Control and manage the off-loading of containers and ensure the efficient completion of such tasks


Unloading deliveries from trucks, couriers, and local suppliers. Recording exact arrival and departure times of deliveries.


Print labels and label all goods received in accordance with policy.


Organizing and storing received items in appropriate/designated areas and bin locations.


Processing returns, rejects and warranties for incorrect or unsatisfactory items from suppliers and customers.


Communicate any shipment discrepancies with the supply department and warehouse administrators.


Updating inventory with received items on Syspro.


Communicating with vendors regarding delays or problems and notify the Customer Care Manager.


Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.


Tracking delivery items against sales back order report and notifying the sales team timeously of any items received.


Properly control the incoming location in accordance with housekeeping and procedural controls and rules


Ensuring no items is
moved

out of the receiving area without the goods being checked and processed in Syspro.


Adhere and maintain all administrative processes associated with receiving and return of goods




Education

and Experience




National Matric Certificate


Any tertiary education will be an advantage


Minimum 3 years receiving experience


Minimum 5 years general warehouse experience


Forklift license will be an advantage


Previous experience in Syspro or a related
ERP

system will be an advantage
