My client, an established fruit exporter based in Stellenbosch is seeking to employ a Cost Accountant with a BComm Management Accounting or equivalent degree. Preferably 2 years' experience in Management Accounting, but not essential as training will be provided
Duties:


Financial Control:


Assist with quotes for customers


Collate information to prepare costs for customer invoices


Create Sale ID’s in QX system


Capture prepared estimated cost in QX system:



Information required to do costings:


Quote as checklist


Copy of vessel file


Mates receipt


Marine Insurance


Investigate, calculate, evaluate on extra-ordinary cost and age analysis of pallets


Doc Instructions: Draw up excel spreadsheet to provide calculations when required to pro-rate cost over a number of projects




System enhancement




Requirements:



B.Comm Management Accounting or equivalent


In-house and/or external training in supply chain processes, their associated costs


Basic understanding of full export cost chains for all markets


Industry training in Incoterms and export protocols


Ability to work accurately with figures


Good eye for detail and ability to handle complexity of costs per client, service provider, activity, market
