Job description

Our e-commerce department requires a dedicated and passionate e-commerce content coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day maintenance of the relevant website(s), including product catalogue management, planning and loading of marketing content and use of optimisation tools. The role will require the incumbent to work effectively across teams to proactively source and load relevant information in order to drive a rich customer experience online and increase conversions and sales.

This is a fast-changing role with evolving expectations, and we are looking for someone who has a strong aptitude for systems and pushes the boundaries of e-commerce whilst sharing knowledge and learnings with the rest of the team. Key duties
  • Set up and maintain product catalogues – including product names, descriptions, attributes, images and videos
  • Setup and maintain website navigation catalogue – aligned to product assortments and brand strategies
  • Plan and configure campaigns, promotions and launches in line with the agreed marketing and content calendars
  • Maintain website search and keywords to align with customer expectations, and drive conversion
  • Optimise the use of AI and personalisation tools, including sorting rules and product recommendations
  • Maintain relevant UGC – including product reviews and Instagram feeds
  • Perform regular QA and website audits to ensure website content is of the highest standard
  • Assist with user testing as needed for any website enhancements or project implementations
  • Respond to issues or queries from customers, internal and/or external teams as needed
Job requirements
Knowledge, experience and qualifications 
  • At least two years’ experience in a similar position
  • Matric and related tertiary education in digital/ e-commerce
  • High-level understanding of web design, web content and web analysis
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms, Google Analytics and SEO
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels such as PPC, SEO, display and affiliate marketing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically MS Excel)
  • Domain knowledge in e-commerce, retail, online advertising and/or analytics
