Digital Project Manager

We have a fantastic, fully remote opportunity for a mid-senior digital project manager at a UK-based digital design agency with clients around the globe. We're looking for an experienced and technically engaged individual to guide projects from ideation to delivery. Crucially, the role would involve managing and nurturing existing long-term client relationships. The successful candidate will work with a small team in the UK and Cape Town.

The agency is extremely collaborative with both their staff and clients and choose to work with friendly and knowledgeable clients to provide that personable approach to their work and communication. Responsibilities

• Manage planning and design phases of upcoming web builds, working with developers as well as user experience and user interface designers
• Develop, maintain, communicate, and effectively execute project plans and scopes
• Manage projects according to agency project management style/techniques
• Understanding clients, their products, services, brands, processes and audiences
• Managing internal and external developers to deliver our web projects
• Coordinating software integration efforts with client's suppliers
• Identifying and resolving technical issues for mission-critical products
• Breaking down technical requirements into manageable tasks
• Managing client expectations and facilitating change requests, while measuring and communicating time/cost impact of such changes
• Building relationships with international based clients
• Creating and maintaining processes for repeatable work
• Act as an intermediary between the client and the development teams
• Manage internal and external project expectations
• Track and monitor project budgets and hours with the internal/external teams
• Create and maintain project timelines, and ensure the team has been allocated the hours needed for the work
• Define, negotiate, communicate, implement and monitor quality control on project deliverables
• Identify and communicate project risks throughout project life cycles
• Work closely with internal/external development team members to propose solutions for client’s needs.

• Relevant degree/diploma/Experience in digital project management
• Technically minded with the ability to learn and understand new technologies
• WordPress (multi-language, e-commerce, integrations) experience is essential
• Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues without involving a developer unless necessary
• Exposure to front-end code is advantageous
• Demonstrable experience with leading a team, budgeting, planning, quality management, problem-solving, reporting, managing risk
• Be able to recommend technical solutions based on client challenges
• You should be confident scoping out new requirements with clients, and able to communicate requirements with stakeholders & team members
• You should be a great communicator and an effective leader
• Bonus would be some exposure to and understanding of design as well as user experience process

• Ability to work well under pressure and confidence in multitasking
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Both self-motivated and able to work and take ownership but also a team player able to collaborate.
