Job Title: Group Reporting Manager
Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa

Job Summary:
The Group Reporting Manager’s main responsibilities will be to manage the Financial reporting for the firm, provide technical accounting opinions, project manage the statutory audit and annual financial statement processes and the tax compliance for the group. The Group reporting Manager will drive group standardisation on Accounting Policies, ensuring the group financial reporting is IFRS compliant and various timelines are strictly met. Adherence to all applicable tax regulations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
•To prepare, maintain and review accounting records and financial controls for the group on an ongoing basis.
•To assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts including monthly variance analysis
•To oversee the accounting records and financial controls of the Shared Service company directly and to liaise with the other Business Unit Financial Managers indirectly.
•Preparation and review of the annual financial statements and consolidations where applicable including IFRS disclosures for the group, including project management from an audit perspective to signature and lodging of financial statements within statutory time frames
•Assist the Finance Managers with preparation of the group forecasts and budgets
•Process monthly consolidation and elimination entries where applicable
•Special Projects for Group Finance including investigation, analysis and reporting as well as making recommendations to finance leadership.
•Overseeing tax submissions and ensuring tax compliance on an ongoing basis.
•Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations
•Ensure group loan accounts are agreed and balanced on monthly basis
•Assist in group control improvement initiatives, identify problems, analyse and research solutions and assist with practical implementation nationally.
•Prepare annual income tax and deferred tax calculations and 6 monthly tax estimates, consult with tax compliance to ensure deadlines are met. Completion of IT14SD recons and oversight of returns

Requirements:
Qualifications:
•BCom Accounting Sciences degree
•BCom Hons CTA
•Newly qualified CA(SA)

Experience:
•1 – 2 years’ post articles experience added advantageous

Knowledge:
•Professional Services experience advantageous
•Strong technical knowledge of IFRS for SME’s
•Strong tax knowledge of Corporate Tax, VAT, PAYE and WHT

Competencies:
•Accurate and detail orientated
•Proficient using Microsoft excel
•Experience with Maconomy (advantageous)
•Good analytical and problem solving skills
•Ability to work as a team member
•Good oral and written communication skills
