My client, a successful wholesale company in SA is seeking to employ an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their offices in Port Elizabeth. You will take full responsibility in its entirety for the warehousing function, including but not limited to receiving, systems, staff management and productivity to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Ensure at the end of each shift that all orders for the day placed before 14:30 has been picked, and handed to dispatch to check in.
Ensure daily that picking is managed and productive right through the day, such that orders placed after 14:30, can still be picked for the following day if possible.
Ensure the back order is clean by printing a backorder at the end of each shift
Track, report on and resolve picking and system errors or delays at any time if any product is not picked but is on the system the Warehouse Manager will personally resolve this.
Any transgression, incident, error will immediately be reported to the GM.
Ensure all time and attendance of staff is adhered to all times, especially at no time does staff leave the premises at the end of shift if the picking is not complete.
Ensure the keeping of daily record to reconcile all packing slips to make sure no picking slips need to be reprinted.
Liaise with the Dispatch at any time should there be any foreseeable delays.
Ensure the restriction of movement of all unauthorised personnel from entering the Whole Goods and Finished Goods warehouses, this includes all sales reps, the public, customers etc.
Ensure all entrances when not in use are locked, and stock is always secure
Manage the use of the Company Forklift ensures their proper use, service on time etc.
Manage pallets daily and ensure stock on chep pallets are repacked and the chep pallets sent back or used for our Durban and reef branch despatches.
Ensure all stock is packed away immediately and no stock is left on the floor, within 48hrs after any stock’s arrival.
Ensure all times that the warehouse is clean neat and orderly, this includes clean floors, racks, and no product in isles when there is racking space.
Ensure at all time that stock is always managed on a FIFO basis
Always ensure that all stock is managed according to the current system, procedures and good practices used, including stock recovering, samples, stacking etc.
Ensure ad hoc and container staff is properly managed daily and that there are no staff inefficiencies.
Manage the waste management system and ensure its optimal and controlled usage.
At any time take complete responsibility for the yard and all activities within it. Always maintain yard condition and perimeter site security.
Ensures compliance with all the relevant FSSC ISO22000 policies and procedures.
Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Ensure all staff complies with all housekeeping standards.
