A leading digital brand content provider has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Sales working on their retail clients.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the team in planning, implementation and managing sales to the companies retail customers
  • Acquire new business whilst maintaining existing business
  • Develop sales strategies and plans to support the retail customers
  • Increase business capacity by effectively marketing the business to current and new customers
  • Lead and manage a team to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Actively seek out new and potential business
  • Grow and maintain existing client relationship
  • Develop and comply with sales plan
  • Conduct market research and keep track of trends
  • Identify new products and market niches
  • Assist with product and brand launches
  • Effective communication between internal teams and stakeholders
  • Resolve products and product issues with clients
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, business administration or similar field
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in related field and managing a team
  • A detailed understanding of the South Africa landscape
  • Familiarity with local and wide area network design, implementation and operation
  • Knowledge of various office productivity software programmes such as word processing, databases, spreadsheet programmes and communications software
  • Familiarity with various computer peripherals such as printers, monitors, modems and other equipment
  • General knowledge of sales and CRM processes gained through three or more years of related experience
  • Ability to analyse and resolve complex sales related issues, both client and interpersonal
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills and effective presentation skills, all geared toward coordination and education
  • Ability to negotiate and defuse conflict
  • Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative
  • Retail sales operations as they pertain to retailers promotional and e-commerce activities in a traditional and an online environment
  • Sales and Marketing solutions design and development
  • Sales process analysis and design
  • Marketing management and operation of sales systems
