Job description

Purpose of the Position
  • To be responsible for generating sustainable and profitable growth through full activation and development of the digital channel for assigned products within the group. Activation of the digital channel includes application and optimisation of mobile platforms, search engine optimisation, development and management of email campaigns and development and leverage of social media platforms.

  General:
  • Drive new initiatives into the business for properties onto digital platforms
  • Set up and launch of new properties from a brand/digital marketing point of view
  • Brief in digital advertising, packages and promotions for design by digital marketing studio
  • Monitor the digital content for the brand and sub brand
  • Drive new website development and ongoing maintenance
  • Remain up to date with all digital marketing industry trends and developments
  • Strategic direction for Social Media in line with budgets
  • Manage content calendar
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners to deliver
  • Driving sales through digital marketing
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create digital collateral and optimize the digital customer experience.

  KPI:
  • Manage General Content and Sales posts to achieve targets as set out in KPI
  • Analyze and draw up strategies based on monthly reports and digital KPI
  • Report back on Marketing budget vs achieved
  • Daily, weekly and monthly reports – Monthly reports on strats, budgets, deadlines
  • Develop and implement social media marketing campaigns
  • Oversee email campaigns and blogs for numerous brands
  • Integrate all campaigns with group reporting systems and processes
  • Implement channel campaigns in order to expand market share and pursue aggressive growth targets
  • Plan and execute all digital marketing, including search engine optimisation, database marketing, email, social media and display advertising campaigns.
  • Compose relevant content for Internet marketing plans
  • On-line reputation management
  • Reporting on web activity and email communications

  Qualifications & Experience
  • Preferably 4 – 5 years’ experience in digital marketing and social media
  • Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing or Public Relations
  • Google AdWords Certified
  • HTML knowledge
  • Experience working on a social media monitoring and planning tool like Sprout Social or Hootsuite
  • In depth knowledge of SEO, Keywords, Adwords
  • Excellent computer skills
