Who we are and what we’re looking for
Yuppiechef is looking for a self-motivated, creative, multi-channel Paid Media Digital Marketer. You’re a whizz in Facebook Business Manager and Google Ads Manager, and you love getting deep into analytics. You know your SEO from your SEM, think in funnels, and know when a carousel’s going to beat a video, or vice versa. You love getting to grips with new platform functionality that boosts the efficiency of your metrics, you’re a creative thinker who appreciates the nuance of good communication, and you can juggle campaigns and objectives like the Cirque du Soleil. Plus you’re fanatical about accuracy and allergic to typos.

Our team started as two good friends and only 32 products in a lounge in Cape Town, and now there are nearly 200 of us who help make Yuppiechef South Africa's premier kitchen and homeware store. We're selling 8,000 curated products from 700 leading international and local brands, and we're growing faster than ever.

What your role looks like
  • Conceiving cross-channel digital media plans for campaigns
  • Building and scheduling campaigns for Facebook and Google via Facebook Business Manager and Google Ads Manager
  • Running Google Shopping and Facebook Catalog Sales campaigns to drive conversions through retargeting existing customers and prospecting new ones
  • Owning our search marketing: creating new ads and optimising existing ones, and feeding back your SEO insights to our Web team
  • Running our suppliers’ paid digital campaigns 
  • Being accountable for the performance of media spend, allocating it between channels,  analysing and reporting back on target metrics, and recommending improvements 
  • Pushing for constant improvement of our spend efficiency and effectiveness
  • Creative conceptualisation of campaigns, including briefing our design team
  • Keeping up to date with new functionalities being released in key channels, and pushing for experimentation and learning

What experience and skills you need for the role  
  • At least two years’ experience being individually responsible for 
    • Scheduling paid digital media campaigns via Facebook Business Manager and Google Ads Manager
    • Creating and optimising Google Search ads
    • Reporting back on campaign performance and optimising future plans for better results
  • Skilled user of Google Ads Manager and Facebook Business Manager, in creating, tracking, managing and reporting on campaigns
  • Skilled user of Google Analytics, ideally with the ability to configure or suggest enhanced measurement techniques for a retail/e-commerce implementation
  • Skilled spreadsheet user with experience in analyses and reporting on large number sets
  • Experience working as part of a marketing team, collaborating on projects and having a role in assessing effective brand communication
  • Confidence in copywriting

Pay and Benefits:
  • We pay competitive, market-related salaries based on skills and experience, and profit share based on the company's performance
