DIESEL TECHNICIAN
Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure adherence to the company`s
rules and regulations as documented in the company`s disciplinary policy;
• Ensure adherence to all health
and safety practices and procedures as defined during induction and other
health & Safety training;
• Ensure and maintain constant
workflow;
• Ensure that daily and monthly PDI
targets are met as assigned by your supervisor;
• Ensure that adherence to any PDI
catch up plan are met on a daily basis;
• Ensure effective communication
between your Team and supporting departments;
• Ensure that daily reports are
submitted timeously to your Supervisor;
• Ensure vehicles are moved to the
next process upon completion of PDI tasks;
• Ensure the correct use and
storage of all tools and equipment;
• Ensure and verify that all items
are properly repaired and sign off on the vehicle job card when completed;
• Ensure all reject forms are
completed correctly and is authorised by the supervisor before getting parts
from the Warehouse for replacement thereof;
• Ensure proper repairs to any
electrical systems and circuits and the correct test method to verify all
electrical repairs are complete and ensure it is signed off on the vehicle
job card;
• Ensure all items under the Engine
& related components are checked as per the Pre delivery inspection sheet
and rectified per the workshop manuals before sending to the dealership;
Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Trade Certificate Diesel Mechanic
• Code 10/14
• Proven Basic AMT knowledge
• Proven Airbrake & ABS systems
knowledge
• Proven fault-finding ability
