The Role:Responsibilities:Understanding of medical scheme rules and billing timelines of the medical schemes and clients.The billing administrator to ensure the changes received reflects on the billing to be implemented by payroll.Ensure the client implement membership movements in accordance with changes acknowledged.Differences between and the medical scheme to be verified and implemented accordingly.Escalated queries from the schemes and employers to be managed.Members with arrear payments to be notified accordingly.Maintain and build relationships with existing and new clients.Liaise with providers, clients, and members telephonically or in writing.Familiar with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations.Data management and update of monthly statistics.Skills and Experience:Essential Qualifications:3 to 5 years medical aid experience -- either in Medical Aid Administrator or with an FSP -- with relevant training certificates.Preferred Qualifications:3 to 5 years medical aid experienceNQF Level 5 REFAISExperience required:Minimum 3 to 5 years-- experience in medical scheme membership administrationMinimum 5 years-- experience in medical scheme membership administration/billing environmentProficient in advanced ExcelAdvanced knowledge on medical scheme rules, FICA, FAIS and TCFBasic accounting skillsFull understanding of medical aids and employee benefits, requirements, timelines, and processes
