Reporting to Regional Facilities Manager
Main Purpose of the Job: To ensure that the plumbing requirements of all Buildings are met as set and defined by the company standard.
Minimum experience and requirements
EDUCATION:
• Matric
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
• 2 to 3 years of Plumbing experience
Behavioral Dimensions and Skills required:
• Verbal and written communication skills;
• Professional personal presentation;
• Time management.
Key Performance Areas :
• Reporting any faulty equipment or hazards in the workplace; locations.
• Repair leaking pipes and unblock sewer lines;
• Unblock toilets and basins;
• Need to cost the material required to execute a job
o Needs to have an understanding of what parts/material are required to execute the job at hand;
• Installation of bath, basin, toilet, urinal and geyser;
• Changing of tap washers;
• Will need to care for the tools issued to him/her
o Including power tools issued on sign out;
• Reporting any faulty equipment or hazards in the work place;
• Minimizing wastage of material;
• Accurate completion of all job cards within the expected turnaround time;
• He/she will be required to work overtime in case of emergencies;
• Will do week-end duty by rotation;
• Will need to work the extended hours between November-February to prepare vacate and new academic intake;
• Will be required to complete work to the company standard;
• Any ad hoc tasks and responsibilities assigned to him/her by management.
