Managing an effective cloud accounting function:
Internal / departmental duties:
Overall management of the cloud accounting function.
Facilitating the implementation of new developments and applications within the cloud accounting function.
Training of staff in cloud accounting related matters
External / client duties (for larger, more complex clients):
Advising clients on cloud computing options and providing general support to users of cloud-based accounting software.
Conducting a client needs analysis (in collaboration with the relevant relationship partner).
Assisting with the initial pricing and quotation.
Onboarding and implementation of cloud accounting software until maintenance.
Managing a dedicated client portfolio, including, but not limited to:
Performing regular bookkeeping duties for cloud-based clients.
Keeping clients regularly updated on their company position in terms of bank balance, outstanding debtors, creditors, etc.
Preparation of management accounts, either in standard form or bespoke management packs.
Preparation of statutory accounts.
Consulting with clients on all aspects of financial management
The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:
Exceptional proficiency and experience in digital accounting platforms, including Xero and Receipt Bank.
Minimum requirement Grade 12
Any further tertiary qualifications and professional registration with a professional body advantageous.
Experience and good knowledge of IFRS for SMEs, VAT and Income Tax.
Technical proficiency in Caseware Working Papers, e-Filing, recognized accounting software and the Microsoft Office suite.
Proven competence in the management of client portfolios.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate is solutions driven and a forward-thinking individual, who demonstrates problem solving capabilities in delivering client service of outstanding quality. The ability to work independently and proactively is a prerequisite.
