A fast-paced Software Specialist seeks an ambitious Junior Technician to produce, test and ship electronic products. You will also have general responsibilities around the office including maintenance, inventory management and general technical tasks. The ideal candidate must have a high level of dexterity with hands and good eyesight for delicate work, have a Matric/Grade 12 Certificate with at least 1 year experience as an Electronic Technician or appropriate Diploma qualification with experience soldering, electronic assembly and testing and the ability to read and understand circuit schematic diagrams.
Duties:
Storeroom maintenance and keeping track of stock.
Travelling to/from suppliers.
Product assembly.
Product testing and fault finding.
Soldering electronic components during product/prototype assembly and re-work.
Preparing and packaging items for shipment.
Documentation and database maintenance for test reports and stock lists.
General hardware/maintenance work around the office.
Requirements:
Matric/Grade 12 Certificate.
At least 1 year of Electronic Technician experience, or appropriate Diploma qualification.
Experience in soldering, electronic assembly and testing.
High level of dexterity with hands and good eyesight (for delicate work).
Ability to read and understand circuit schematic diagrams.
General computer skills including Word, Excel, etc.
Valid SA driving license and own reliable transport.
