Are you ready for the next step in your career? One of South Africa’s largest retail brands are on the lookout for a Mobile Development Manager to lead a team of talented iOS and Android software developers, build creative software solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations.
You will be the force that drives strategy and growth for the mobile development team, the business, and customers
Requirements:

• BSc or BTech in computer science or IT preferred.
• Seven+ years’ experience with mobile solution design/cross-platform development
• Six+ years’ experience using React Native, iOS and Android to develop customer-facing applications and general software development
• Four+ years’ experience in a team leadership role

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for managing a team of developers who are passionate about delivering inspiring Android and iOS solutions that truly solve customer problems, or create new experiences through mobile and/or omni channel engagement / transactional opportunities.
• Design and develop applications with an eye towards simplicity, reliability, manageability, scalability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.
• Influence and engage actively in building out a dynamic and productive development team and continuously improve practices and methodology.
• Set and adhere to software coding and style guides to ensure consistency. Participate in pairing and code reviews.
• Play a leading role in maintaining best of breed development standards for IOS and Android Mobile technologies and solutions.
• Spearhead the mobile digital transformation efforts of the business.
• Voice your views, present information and debate alternatives with senior level decision makers to shape and influence solution design, platform selection and system integration opportunities that create immediate and longer term customer value.
