Job description

An opportunity has become available for a l oss prevention team leader based in Johannesburg . The successful incumbent will be responsible for loss prevention controls being adhered to in the business and managing a team of loss prevention officers.
Key responsibilities
  • Supervise, Lead and develop team members
  • Manage and track performance and coach team members
  • Identify, rank, measure and mitigate risk throughout the retail stores
  • Review physical security of premises, stock and fixed assets
  • Monitoring and notify on any system shortcomings
  • Monitoring and reporting the effectiveness of the OHASA at store level
  • Draft stocktake plan within the set parameters and ensure compliance to this plan
  • Facilitate complete, accurate and timeous inventory counts. (perpetual and cyclical counts)
  • Review stock control procedures and rules
  • Investigate and report on exception above minimum standards
  • Exception based reporting and analysis and investigation of exceptions
  • Identify emerging risks at store level
  • Conducting, reviewing, and reporting on risk-based audits
  • Driving and implementing loss prevention initiatives
  • Identify theft and fraud trends
  • Investigate cases of internal theft and fraud and report thereafter
  • Run the Deloitte fraud line and compile a report of internal fraud and theft
  • Preparation, oversight and control of annual budget

Requirements

  • Matric or Grade 12 is essential
  • Undergraduate degree in related field will be advantageous
  • Minimum five years related experience is essential
  • Experience with Cowhills POS system, Sage System, Dolfin System, Retail Online system (RCOS) is essential
  • Experience with Deloitte system and Qlikview system will be advantageous
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Skills in Excel, Word and Outlook is essential.
  • Willing to travel
  • A Valid drivers licence and use of own car is essential
  • Implementing and advising on policies and procedures
  • Detail orientated and a strong investigative mentality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
