How would you fancy collaborating with an international AWS team on machine learning projects within one of SA’s most technologically innovative financial services institutions ?
About the role
You’ll be joining an award-winning division that is at ground zero for major data projects before rolling out across the group in nine countries . Never a dull moment or a stale project. This is a contract position , initially 12 months , but with very high likelihood of extension or conversion to perm down the line. You’ll be able to work from home throughout the pandemic, thereafter the position will be based in Jhb CBD .
About you:
Ideally, you’ve got around five+ years’ experience in data-focused roles and at least two+ years’ experience as a Data Scientist working on machine learning projects .
From a tech point of view, you’ll be a Python junky well versed in libraries such as Numpy, Scipy, Scikit-Learn, Tensorflow, Keras, Pandas, etc.  as well as having strong cloud experience, AWS ideally but happy to consider Azure or GCP too. Additionally, you’ll score big points for having skills/experience in Java, Cloudera, Hadoop, and Data Lakes .
