The Operating Model (OM) Measures Portal plays a critical role in how we operate, how we measure operational effectiveness, capability, etc. The solution comprises of on-premises SQL back-ends, standardised Web based user interfaces, embedded Tableau visuals in the form of control charts and histograms as well as predefined measures from our centralised SAP ERP environment.
The solution has now reached a point where need to revisit the user experience and interface (front-end) to bring about a fresh, modern, fluent, and simplified way of interacting with the content.
In addition to an array of stabilization and optimization initiatives we are implementing on the back end and reporting components, we have also identified complexity, outdated look and feel, difficulty with navigating, not knowing where / how to access features, etc., as major contributors to reluctancy in using the solution as the primary tool for implementing and promoting effective OM principles
Critical review of existing system and UI / UX
Conduct user interviews to form a better idea of what our user base would like to see and what sequence they would logically follow through the system content (need to make provision for travel to multiple sites)
Concept Design and approval of design by key stakeholders
Planning of implementation approach, task breakdown and scheduling of development tasks
