Job description
Senior Java developers are required for a new fintech trading division of one of SA’s leading corporate and investment bank. The business is prepared to pay up to R1m per annum for senior developers plus bonuses and extremely attractive banking benefits . This new fintech division have satellite offices in Cape Town CBD, JHB CBD, Sandton as well as Roodepoort on the West Rand and they’re a full blown Agile environment utilising really cool new Java and JavaScript technology. The work involves new greenfields development on next generation trading platforms ensuring the bank optimise their service offering across their various traded products.
Requirements
- B.Sc. with information technology or computer science majors
- J2EE/N-tier architectures, Advanced Java, Servlets, EJBs
- TDD/BDD principles
- JUnit, NUnit, StoryQ, JBehave or other relevant frameworks
- IOC, DI, Mocking frameworks
- Database design, SQL development, JDBC, Hibernate
- J2EE application servers, web servers, UNIX/Linux, BASH shell scripting
- Design patterns, architectural patterns
- Ant, Maven, SVN, Git, Jenkins, TeamCity, Sonar etc.
- Agile software development methodology
- Continuous, incremental delivery of working software
- Mentoring of team members in technical skills and agile approach
- Analyse and resolve complex errors in development and production environment
- Self-motivated and proactive in contributing to the continuous improvement of the team
