HR Generalist
Our client operating within the Engineering and Manufacturing Sector is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced, knowledgeable, and hands-on HR Generalist.
Location: Northern Suburbs
The HR Generalist supports the operation of the Company by contributing to the delivery of the HR plan, working closely with the HR team and specialist units in the Company.
As a HR Generalist, you will be regarded as the subject matter expert with ownership of standard core people processes. You will manage, plan, and set your own priorities based on overall direction from the HRM. You will also execute standard company-wide programs, actively seeking opportunities for invention, simplification and problem solving of standard work programs. Together with the HRM you are the principal associate-facing role for HR.
Requirements:
Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
Minimum Diploma in HR, Degree advantageous.
5 years’ experience in a HR Generalist / OD /HR related role
Strong business and HR acumen, including understanding of Labor related laws and statutes.
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analysis skills.
Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results.
Proficient in using MS Office, Excel, and data related tools.
Key areas of performance:
Recruitment and staffing function.
Organizational structures, job descriptions and job grading.
Drive performance management process and system, such as the organizational leadership review, career path sessions, talent management initiatives with Department Heads.
Apply remuneration principles as per the company’s guidelines with compensation and benefits administration.
Organisational development: Partner with business leaders and other support functions to maintain a highly motivated and engaged workforce.
Industrial relations and regulatory compliance and reporting.
Employee orientation, development, and training.
Policy development and documentation.
Employee relationship management and company-employee communication.
Employee safety, welfare, and wellness education.
Responsible for the implementation of HR Programs and projects.
